Both protocols end in a permanent zirconia prosthesis. Nuvia mills and seats the final bridge within 24–48 hours of surgery. Elite places a same-day provisional, then refines bite and esthetics at an 8-week prototype try-in before delivering final zirconia at week 10–12, after bone integration is well underway.
Three structural differences: Dr. Volland personally performs and follows up on every case, rather than a rotating surgeon partner. Elite’s $15,000 includes zirconia standard, versus ClearChoice’s typical $20,000–$35,000 with zirconia as a premium upgrade. Published Maló Clinic data shows 93–95% implant survival at 10–18 years. Long-term success depends meaningfully on oral hygiene, six-month maintenance visits, and behavioral factors like smoking and glycemic control.
All-on-4’s angled posterior placement is specifically designed to avoid grafting for most patients. When significant bone loss is present, a sinus lift, additional grafting, or a zygomatic protocol may be recommended, determined and quoted in writing at consultation, never in the chair on surgery day.
Surgery itself is performed under in-house IV sedation, so you’re not aware of it. The first 48–72 hours after are the most uncomfortable, swelling peaks around day 3–4, and most patients return to non-strenuous work by day 5–7. A soft diet is required for 6–8 weeks.
All-on-6 adds two implants for greater load distribution, a clinical decision based on bone density, bite force, and bruxism history, not a price-tier upsell. Pricing is identical either way.
